Free Zhu Zhu Pet Giveaway Contest From K-12 Directory of Schools!
To celebrate the Holiday season, the K-12 Directory of Schools Blog is hosting our first official giveaway contest, in which you will have the chance to win one of this season’s Hottest Toys – a brand new Zhu Zhu Pet.
To enter the contest, please do the following:
1) Submit an email to zhuzhu@k12directoryofschools.com explaining why your child deserves a free Zhu Zhu Pet this Holiday season.
Email entries should be under 250 words. The top winning entries will be selected by our editorial staff and each of them will be posted in full next week (though we will change any names included for the purposes of confidentiality). Five winners will be chosen and sent a free Zhu Zhu pet. Winners will be chosen each day by the rolling deadline for the best entry, starting on December 20th, Sunday 11:59PM to December 24th, Thursday 11:59PM.
The K-12 Directory of Schools Blog already has these hard to find Zhu Zhu Pets in hand; but we want to make sure that they go to the most deserving elementary school age students to brighten their New Year. When entering your essay, be sure to include your child’s age, as Zhu Zhu Pets are not recommended for children under 3 years old.

Zhu Zhu Pets are the current toy sensation of 2010, with a sticker price of just $9.99, but such extremely high demand that some have sold for up to hundreds of dollars on eBay. The demand is so high, in fact, that one Santa Claus was reported to tell a little girl at the mall that even though his elves were working as fast as possible to make the Zhu Zhu Pet she wanted for Christmas they are so busy that he might have to arrange a rain-check delivery with the Easter Bunny.
If your child is among the many looking for a Zhu Zhu Pet this Holiday Season, if you’re held back by economic constraints, or just having no luck finding one in stock anywhere, then this is the contest for you! If your child truly deserves one of these little delights, share your story with the K-12 Directory of Schools Blog and you could be the next lucky winner to receive a:
1) Free Chunk Zhu Zhu pet – Chunk is the “dude” of the group, looking cool and stylish with his surfboard (an available accessory not included in our contest). He is rarely phased in the face of adversity!
Chunk’s Official Bio: Whoa, dude! This laid-back surf hamster is famous for chillin’ out, hangin’ back and layin’ low. But when he gets a whiff of some slammin’ surf, he’s off and runnin’! Don’t spare the hugs for this rad rodent. He lives to feel the love.

4) Free Num Nums Zhu Zhu pet: Num Nums is a bit shy, but will gradually warm up to any child or parent and will give kisses once she gets familiar with you.

Only one submission per household is allowed. Feel free to include your Twitter username and RSS Feed Subscription address in your email entry so that we may contact you directly if needed.
You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of the United States to win, and the Zhu Zhu Pets will be shipped by USPS Priority Mail. The final deadline for completing the email is December 24th at 11:59 PM PST.
Winners will be posted to the K12 Directory of School’s Blog and emailed directly by our Giveaway Coordinator. They will have 48 hours to respond with their mailing address or a new winner will be chosen.
