1. Matt Leinart, football quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals, attended Mater Dei High School.

Matt Leinart is quarterback of the Arizona Cardinals. Before that, his success in high school academics and sports brought him to the Trojans of University of Southern California, where he led USC to the AP national championship in 2003 and the BCS national championship in 2004. He attended Mater Dei High School, a Catholic private high school in Santa Ana, California.

2. Misty May-Traenor, beach volleyball champion, attended Newport Harbor High School.

Misty May-Traenor has won more tournaments than any other female professional beach volleyball player, with 105 current wins. She and her teammate took the gold medal in beach volleyball at the 2004 and 2008 summer Olympics. She attended Newport Harbor High School, a public high school in Newport Beach, California that is part of the Newport-Mesa Unified School District.

3. Tiger Woods, most successful golfer of all time, attended Western High School.

Tiger Woods (Eldrick Tont Woods) is a world-famous golfer that is known as the “most successful golfer of all time” according to Wikipedia. He was the highest paid athlete of 2008. He attended Western High School, a public high school in Anaheim, California that is “Home of the Pioneers.”

4. Ted Williams, famous baseball player for Red Sox, attended Herbert Hoover High School.

Ted Williams (Theodore Samuel Williams) played 21 seasons of baseball with the Red Sox and is famous for leading the league in batting six times and winning the Triple Crown twice. He is a legend in baseball and just happened to attend a private school in San Diego county, Herbert Hoover.

5. Derek Brown, former running back for New Orlean Saints, attended Servite High School

Derek Brown was a running back for the New Orlean Saints. He started his athletic career in Servite High School in Anaheim, California. Servite High School is a male-only Roman Catholic private high school in Orange County, CA.
