K-12 Directory of Schools Blog has chosen the first winner in our Free Zhu Zhu Pet Giveaway Contest! This contest is going on all week and gives parents the opportunity to win a FREE Zhu Zhu Pet, the toy craze of the 2009 Holiday season. This isn’t the end of our contest, as we have four more Zhu Zhu Pets to give away to the most deserving entries, so keep those submissions coming!

Here’s the first winner’s story:

I’m writing on behalf of my 12 yr old daughter. She really wants a Zhu Zhu pet. Over the Thanksgiving holiday she was in an accident she was hurt pretty badly & had a concussion, multiple bumps & bruises, a broken nose & broke her wrist in two places. She even had to have surgery to place a pin in her wrist to assist the bone back in place. She missed almost two weeks of school & has to spend her holiday doing homework to catch up. She is a hardworking gate student who always does as she’s told. Unfortunately my husband has a liver illness & we are on a fixed income so we can’t afford to get her one. We have five children total so getting them anything at all on a fixed income is going to be hard enough when we stuggle to just pay our bills let alone getting them what they really want. She has a big heart & never complains. She loves all animals & even wants to be a vet. If anyone deserves it it’s her. Thank you in advance for you consideration. :0)
